2003 Electronic Entertainment Expo, Here's a little something for you gammers.
Click, Click, Zoom! Testing the latest driving games, racking up the miles on virtual test tracks

One of the perks of this job is our annual pilgrimage to the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Every year we look forward to this dark and crowded world where the techno soundtrack rumbles with a deafening base beat. The audience was sardine crowded (more than 62,000 this year), and we bumped shoulder to shoulder with pasty-faced programmers, pierced and tatooed gamers, and buxom booth babes drawing our attention to their video wares. What would the Electronic Entertainment Expo be without the booth babes? Comely vixens whose short red hair perfectly matched their tall red boots.... Gothic vampire mistresses who gently flogged their subjects with whips made of hair.... Beautiful barbarians who posed with showgoers while flaunting their shapely, er, muscles. Yup, E3 had it all. Even games. At least 400 exhibitors were there at the Los Angeles Convention Center, hawking over 1350 new computer and gaming related products destined to make it to stores by the holiday gift-giving season.
The Expo offers something for everyone, regardless of whether you play on Nintendo GameCube, Sony PlayStation 2, Microsoft Xbox, Sega DreamCast, or even a Mac or PC-based computer setup. This year, we saw a new emphasis on portable games that go wherever you do, via cell phone, mobile devices, the traditional GameBoy system, or Sony's upcoming PlayStation handheld. And continuing from last year, interactive gaming via dialup and broadband connections has been expanded, with AOL offering extended online programming that will include streaming music, radio, movies, and game demo downloads as part of the PlayStation Bulletin Board Network.
As always the variety of genres represented is immense, ranging from first-person shooters, to mythical/fantasy/sci roleplaying, with everything you can imagine in between. Our focus is on finding and testing the latest driving games, racking up the miles on virtual test tracks, and getting seat time in driving simulations that feel almost as real as holding the steering wheels of the cars themselves. My first car was a 67 Mustang Coupe, 2nd one was a 67 Cougar XR-7, 3rd one was a 66 Mustang Coupe. Why did I get rid of these cars for ? I know why, because I'm stupid, stupid, stupid.
