timing chain

I recently fitted a recond head to an ea falcon and accidently forgot to tighten the bolt holding the timing chain sprocket to the cam. I took it for a drive and it was running rough, the bolt partialy came out and the sprocket came loose. Now the chain has slipped one link on the intermediate shaft. Can it be fixed without removing the timing cover?

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.....

Yes.
You can set the cam up off TDC.
Take the sprocket off the front, put the chain where it should be, then push it back on again. With a new chain you may have to use a screwdriver through the top holes in the sprocket to lift it up to the cam, once you have the bolt in it *should* pull itself back on - just be careful with it though.
If you can't do it that way you can undo the rocker gear and tilt the cam until the gear goes on, then push it back down being careful of the bearings and bolt down the rocker gear.
