geez, after seeing that, I have really changed my mind on a pursuit. Sure you get a heap of extra cool stuff on the pursuit, but I'd rather buy an XR8, and spend the difference on personallising it.
geez that seems a little quick....especially since they are going 0-100 quicker (XR8) and same as (persuit) their sedan coutnerparts.....but they weigh more...doesnt make sense. especially for a 1900kg ute(persuit)
Gearing on utes is the same as the sedans. I have seen a stock XR8 ute run a 14.3 at Calder so them times seem a little slow. Pursuit could probably run a 14 flat.
Without sounding like to much of an idiot. Im going to purchase an XR8 Ute soon. I just read 'Fordy''s post saying that the 3.45 ratio is an option on the XR8 Ute. Can someone PLEASE explain the difference between that & the standard ratio, which is? :fraz:
I think the standard ratio is 3.23 or thereabouts and is standard on the manual and is a taller ratio than the 3.45 which is actually standard on the auto.
I'm waiting for the 3.7 diffs. All we need is for Ford to put pressure onto Dana Spicer to make 3.7 and 3.9 ratios available for the big diffs. Again the Commodore guys have the 'wood' on us because those ratios are widely available for them.
I find with my Pursuit the 3.23 doesn't give enough revs in fifth when hauling loads up hills on the highway. And the step back to fourth is quite large.
