Yes, I know the drivers door is a slightly different colour to the rest of the car, that's because the previous owner wanted to get the door mirror off and instead of using the correct tools, decided a angle-grinder was the best method, so he cut the metal around the mirror to try and get it off... :wtf:
Since these pictures were taken, I've given it a good clean so it looks a bit better now. No pics of the 2 litre in the engine bay yet, mainly because it still looks awful. But compared to the 1600 in my previous escort - WOW! My partner drove it the other day (legally, I've got one of those unregistered permit things for it), and said that she was suprised by how much power it had, and she's sure it'll easily beat her 4.0i EB GLi Falcon.
It's only got 185's on the rear at the moment, and in any gear other then 4th if you put the foot down the rear tyres screech in protest. Not bad for a 4... :s6:
The thing that's taking the most time to get used to is the short-shift gearbox... There'd be no more then 1 cm between each gear!
Oh, and I do have the front spoiler/under tray/whatever you want to call it for it, just don't have it re-attached yet. I'll do that once it's registered - I don't want it to look too flashy when it goes to the RTA...
Then, once it's registered, I'll get serious about selling the 1600 2-door Escort I've got...
