Yeah cracking.
You ever thrown a 1-400 degree c object (eg glass bottle/etc) into a tub of water? Assuming its capable of withstanding that (unlikely) think of what could happen to a turbo with rapid changes in temperature (and hence size) to the exhaust housing.
