I'll probably get flammed for this, but oh well. Is it possible to lower this truck? I heard it could be done, but only 2-4 inches because it's a 4x4. Is this true? If it is possible, what options are there?
You can lower just about anything with enough money and fabrication skills. You could definitely drop it more than 2 inches but it will require some minor mods. If I were goind to do it, I would bag it all the way around and go with a 3 or 4 link in the rear for extra clearance gained by removing the rear leaf springs. The transfer case skid plate or the bottom of the t-case would be the deciding factor on how low you can go as this is the lowest point on the vehicle.
For the front I would go with a drop spindle along with the bags. Relocating the shock mounts may be required to get enough clearance for the air bag. It would definitely be a custom job as I've never seen any off-the-shelf parts to do it.
I personally wouldn't dream of neutering a Bronco like that but everyone has their own take on what would look good. It CAN be done but it won't be an easy or cheap job.
Thanks for the info. I guess I'll be leaving it alone. I have too many projects with my Probe GT's to start on a truck, but it will be an option in the future.
i really wanna but i wont.... its your truck do what you want with it but i saw a bronco on superford the other day it was lowerd down to like a quarter inch from the ground good luck
