Re: What type of Oil do you use ?

Mine is still under oil watch, we have done an oil change at 10500k mark in an attempt to slow the consumption down. It now has Mobil S 10w 40, a little thicker than mobil 1. It did 2000k pretty quick and looked like it had slowed the burn down, 600ml for 2000k, that was the best its done. It now is approaching another 1000k and it looks not good, probably will take another 600ml. I have asked FPV if I can put another grade thicker in, in an attemp to stop it burning. I was told the engineers only recomend a 0w 40 oil.
As im getting tired of dealer visits, im not sure if my currant engine will make it, at 15000k, it will have to be looked at prety seriously.
