The introduction of the Focus SR Special Value Pack (SVP) in April will add sports appeal and extra value to Ford's award-winning Focus range.

Based on the Focus CL, with acclaimed driving dynamics, European styling and a wide range of standard features, the Focus SR SVP adds air conditioning and alloy wheels to an already attractive package.

"The Focus range will attract even more interest with the release of the Focus SR Special Value Pack," says Focus Brand Marketing Manager, Craig Smith.

Air conditioning on Focus SR represents a saving of $2,000^, while alloy wheels have been added to the standard specification of the entry-level Focus CL.

The sporty look of the 15-inch alloy wheels is inspired by Ford's Focus World Rally Championship (WRC) contender.

'SR' exterior badges complete the Focus SR SVP, ensuring it stands out from the rest of the small car crowd.

"Focus already has a strong presence in the small car market courtesy of its European styling and rally-bred handling and performance," says Smith.

"With over $3,400 worth of extra value*, Focus SR builds on that presence and will enhance the appeal of the Focus range."

Focus SR comes with all the standard features of a Focus CL, including Control Blade Independent Rear Suspension, power steering, remote central locking, a single CD player with steering column mounted audio controls, fog lamps, driver and passenger vanity mirrors, and a 60/40 split rear seat.

Safety features include a dual stage driver's airbag, centre rear lap-sash seatbelt and front seatbelt pretensioners.

Available as a five-door hatch or four-door sedan, the Focus SR will be on sale at Ford dealerships from April 1, 2004.

The recommended offer price for the Focus SR is $19,980** for the 1.8-litre five-speed manual and $21,980** for the 2.0-litre four-speed automatic. All prices exclude dealer delivery and statutory charges.

I note these wheels are simply the Ghia wheels on the cars sold in the U.K. (for anyone familiar with the range there).

Wouldn't have changed anything from the car I bought, the wheels would still have gotten the boot and air con was free anyway as part of the sale. Hope it helps them though.

Cheers.. Tim

Mate you'd be surprised just how the free air works, but at that price point when people are getting the base model, air and alloys makes a HUGE difference to many people. Our runout '03 plate sales have been a HUGE success, especially just with free air on CL's. I reckon it's a great deal personally. A German car with all the bits (but without windows and mirros admittedly) is a bloody good price for just on $22,500 driveaway... Of course most people looking at Zetecs etc wouldn't sneeze at it but the CL is our volume seller and a deal like that just adds spice to the deal.
