The F351-4V (Performer) manifold intake ports were smaller than the actual 4V head ports to induce better flow. The Ford Performance book states that it worked and not to modify them. Hope the shop exchanges it for a 2V for free for you but if not chuck it on and see how it goes and post your results. We discussed this about a 4v Boss manifold on a 2v head motor previously but don't know how it went !!! Good luck.

I wouldn't be in a hurry to change it. Whilst talking to a reputable engine builder here in Perth they said a 4V manifold on a 2V engine works great. Close your eyes and don't look at the awful lack of port matching and you'll be right!! Good for and extra 20-30ft/lbs of torque - application dependant. So maybe you got a good deal after all!!

Ref: Kostecki Engine Centre - build professional drag cars and do a lot of V8 Supercar heads.
