Just wondering what the visual differences are between the Carby 302w and the EFI 302w (5.0 EFI)?

Cheers

The front timing chain cover is different but interchangable..

No mech fuel pump access on front cover... On efi

Different ballance on flex plate and ballancer/flywheel..27/50 oz..

On Aussie efi motors the dipstick goes to pan..On efi

There is no advance on efi dissy if it has one...

E7 or GT40p heads On efi

Reverse rotation water pump.. On efi

Serpintine belt..Obvious !!! On efi

Lighter block in efi...

Cast pistons on carb

Hypo on efi....

So if i was to say...... Use a carby 302 block, and put on some E7TE heads and use a serpentine setup, you wouldn't be able to tell whether it was a caby block before?

Only reason I ask is that's my ticket in getting away with NOT having Catylitic converters when I run the exhaust!

Trust me with good cats they hardly take away any performance...
Put them on atleast for epa/ rta / adr...
Yes but they usually go by engine numbers when it comes to epa..
I'm runing over 500 h.p with hi flow cats...

It's an american 5.0 HO with an e303 cam, that's never been registered over here.

And because I'm a tightarse, I don't wish to fork out $400+ on cats.

Original Motor = No cats
Original Block with EFI Heads = No cats
EFI motor = CATS!

Straight from QLD Transport Engineer for modifications.

Actually what I should've said is, what are the differences to the bare blocks for each!
