Re: What would you change for the next model Territory?

I must say, I am new to this forum, Love the Territory, have test driven many for my dad, talked my father in law into one, and am working hard on the blokes at work.... (gotta get one to drive more often sooner or later!)

The options you guys are listing are quite good options... Particularly... The Diesel Option. It would have me in one in a jiffy, stuff the mrs saying no its too big...
Ford in the UK, have just released a ~120kw/400ish nm 2.2 T.Diesel... (in a Mondeo!) Even though it lacks on power front... if Ford Oz were to even just get their hands on the tech, and build a diesel, I am sure we could get a 150kw/500nm+ monster! I am sure Jag have a 6spd auto which would handle all the torque. (which is due in '06 for Falcon? Maybe sooner if FPV get one for F6 models.....)

I have just come back from the UK, where everything is T.Diesel... they get 6's and 7s in the fuel consumption, and cruise around at 90mph all day!

Just take a look at the landrover TD6 engine.. its only 130kw and 390nm and pulls around 2.5tonne! and i am led to believe gets semi respectable fuel mileage as well!
