I don't have that plastic spoiler on the top of the tailgate .... but if it actually did anything aerodynamic ... it would probably only lessen the amount of fine dust that accumulates on the rear window .....
The dust shower that the journo's complain about is a build up of dust inside the tailgate skin which falls out of the bottom lip of the tailgate when you open it in the full open position .... trust me, it gets you once and you NEVER forget .... LOL
