Are you sure you have them fitted correctly? The tabs should not touch the glass at all. They sit wedged in between the hard inner window frame trim, and the softer outer trim that is closest to the glass. When fitted like this, windows can go up and down all day long without issue, I have even opened the rear windows at speed, and the shades don't move.
