1994 Crown Victoria LX, no dash light or running lights. Headlights, turn signals and brake lights work fine though. Fuses check out fine. From a bit of research that I've done it seems to be the lighting control module. I'm not a Ford guy, so can anyone verify that and where is the LCM on the CV? I'm guessing something like that is going to be buried in the dash somewhere right? Thanks guys.

2001 Crown Vic Climate Control Fix

My 01 CV was not putting out heat just cold air. I took the car to an AC place in Vegas. Testing indicated I needed a new Blend Door and or Actuator for the door. Cost $900.00. I researched the problem and found one posting talking about removing the negative battery cable to get a "reset."

1. first turn-off the AC. 2. Then ignition off. 3. Remove Battery cable for several hours (not sure how long a reset takes). Some Japan cars take many hours, or so I have been told.

*_Results:_* Climate Control now works perfect.

I wonder how many 10s of thousands of dollars have been wasted on needless repairs for this same problem.

Hey all, I'm new to these forums for first off I'd like to say hello! :hit:

Now to the question, I have a 98 grand marquis and the traction control is beyond annoying... It seems to engage randomly and makes driving in the winter more frustrating than it should be. How can I disable it? I've searched the forums and I cant seem to find any answers. Somebody mentioned having to pull a fuse, if that's the case which one?

Thanks in advance!

Just last night I changed the o2 sesnors on my 92 TC because the CEL was coming on. But, the CEL is still coming on. Now, I figured they needed to get changed because the ones that were on there were the factory installed and were never change. When I drive it hard, the CEL doesn't come on. But when I accelerate easily, and keep it at steady speed between 30 and 40, thats when the CEL comes on. It goes off only when I accelerate quickly. And, i'm getting poor gas mileage. I'm stuck because I don't have the money to take it to a shop for them to look at it. If anyone knows what this could be, please help me! Thank you!:hy:

Passenger blinker blinking too fast and other problems

Ok, so I failed inspection today for my passenger side blinker, it's blinking too fast. Usually that means a bad or dying bulb, but the bulbs are fine, and I even replaced them with my spares just to make sure it wasn't a weak bulb.

It only does it when I go to make a right hand signal (left turn works just fine). When I turn the hazard lights on, only the LEFT side comes on, the indicator light for a right signal doesn't light up either. However, if I turn the right signal on while the hazard is engaged the right side lights up and syncs with the hazard tempo and doesn't blink at double speed. I tried fiddling with the control stick to see if maybe the switch was acting up, but nothing happened, although I don't know how to actually take it apart and check.

I'm going to rip out the LCM tomorrow and check to make sure all is well on the printed board, and check the soldering to make sure something isn't loose. If anything, there's a place on eBay that'll rebuild the LCM for $99 which is a LOT cheaper than a new unit.

But before I resort to that I want to see if anyone knows what could be causing this.
