misfire on downshift?

If im just cruising along, slowing down, the transmission downshifts on its own as it should. But when it downshifts on its own, the whole car jerks pretty hard like its having a hard time downshifting. But if im driving and i push the gas harder to make it downshift, it doesnt jerk at all. It first started this when i first got the car about a year ago. I changed the plugs (correct gaping) wires are not crossed. What could be wrong?

No codes came up.

hello, everyone Im new to the world of turbo coupe. would like to get to know the in and outs to my 1987 TC. right now its bone stock and i would like to start playing with it a little. 1st off, the stock fuel injectors do not work at all. Im trying to find replacements, or get mine rebulit. could anyone help me with this? also i need to know what the flow rate of the stock injector is? my guess is somewhere from 16lb-18lb? i do know the non-turbo 2.3 is 14.5lb. and the E-350 injectors i threw on for giggles are 19lb and too much fuel, running way too rich. can only get it to run with the vane un-pluged. look forward to any help i can get thanks!

On a 1992 super coupe super charged,I replaced the spark plug wires, because the check engine light was on and it threw o 217 code witch said #3 coil, that wire was bad, it ran good after many restarts, then it dropped a cylinder,it seems that the #6 is not sparking at the coil.
does anyone no if that would mean the coil is bad?
                                 thanks.

For some reason i thought my tq would be higher than the hp. Any ideas on how to get more tq? Dont get me wrong tho, i am very pleased with the results.
96 T-bird. Just bought it a couple weeks ago. The following do not work - dome light, map lights, door chime (lights left on or key left in), door unlock (doors will lock, but not unlock with door panal button or remote), none of the warning lights come on at start up. Everything else electricle seems to be fine. I have checked all fuses. Is there a fusable link somewhere that could be out? I have a manaul ordered, but my experiance is that they don't give much info in this area.

My buddy has a 4 or 5 year old Focus with same issues.

Also, the other night I shut the car off and the electric door locks started to cycle all on their own. When I pushed the unlock button, the headlights came on. I finally stopped it by restarting the car and shutting it back off. Again, my buddies Focus did this a few years ago, and I also had a 99 Mustang that did this one time, and an 02 Windstar that it happened with a few times.

All related to each other somehow? Common Ford issue or am I just lucky....

Hi all, I just picked up a '97 Thunderbird with the 3.8 V6. The car is great with one issue: When it's idling while in gear, the RPM's drop to about 550 with a deep vibration you can feel through the steering wheel. When I turn the steering wheel from side to side it gets a bit worse and the steering pump makes a whining sound as if it was low on fluid. Well, the resevoir is full, but the fluid is dark charcoal in color. Also, when I put it in neutral, the RPM's go back up to 900 and the idle is smooth. I would really appreciate any ideas on what this is, and suggestions to remedy?:bowd:
