I was wondering if anyone knew of some good proven performer cams that would be best suited for my set up. I have a 351c with 4v closed chambers heads. Car has 4.10 gears and a 4 speed toploader. Engine mods are bored .030" over with forged pistons, roller nsa rockers, aluminum water pump, torker II intake, 850 double pumper carb. the cam currently in it is a comp magnum hydraulic with 253/253 @ .050" and 585/585 lift. I also have a comp magnum solid lifter cam with 236/236 @ .050" and .575/.575 lift that i ran for a few months before going through the engine again. Im looking for what would make the most power to 7k rpm. Would i be better off switching back to the smaller solid cam? wouldnt be opposed to buying another cam if i knew it would outperform the ones i have.

Intake Gaskets

I'm having problems finding the correct intake gasket for my Edelbrock 351c-4v LB intake to 351c 2vAussie heads. Seems I can only find 4v gaskets in the high performance category and any 2v gaskets are the stock type. Will the 4v gaskets work ok?

Can anyone tell me a part number that would be applicable to my situation?

thanks

Electric Fuel Pump Recommendations

i recently bought a Holley "blue" 110gph @ 14 psi electric fuel pump and it came with a standard regulator that can lower it to 88gph @ 9 psi. My carb is a Holley 750 CFM double pumper #4779-S.

I am wondering if this is too powerful of a pump for this engine (which is dynod at 500), or if the lowest setting on the regulator will work just fine. if not, what should i do?

a friend of mine said i could get a bypass regulator and run a return line back to the tank, only problem is my 67's tank doesn’t have a return feed. That leads to my next question on rather to add a return to the existing tank or get a fuel cell.

any tips would be greatly appreciated. i'm trying to do this all myself and not have to pay someone a ridiculous amount to do it for me. thanks a lot.

Belt Drive?

Has anyone used a belt drive rather than chain or gear drive? I saw a belt drive was quite pricey and wondered if it was worth it? Especially on a high end engine. What are the ups and downs of belt drive?
