:hit:I did an Auto transmission fluid change with ATF Mercon only, since I could not find Mercon V which is what the dip stick says. What if any problem could I face in future?
I do not use it for heavy duty or towing or high speed mostly around town but I do take it often times to 6000 RPMs in first and second gears?
Thanks in adance.:bowd:

I then heard knocking coming from the A/C compressor when the A/C was not on, no knock with it on, then the knock stopped with the A/C off and the mpg dropped even worse than when I brought the truck to the dealer the first time, 16MPG.The computer won't hold the program and some thing is causing it to default. All the sensors check out except the O2's but that is a standard ford 4.0L problem and does not effect this issue. Please help I don't trust the dealer ship.

I had the fuel pump replaced by a friend last week. The truck is running fine. Then tonight, the "Check Fuel Cap" light appeared on thr dash. I did turn the truck off, checked the cap, then restarted. The "Check Fuel Cap" light is still staying lit. And it has for 2 short drives.

What could the tech have missed or overlooked to have this occur? He did say he would fix any issues. But if possible, I'd like to know if I can fix this emissions code myself. Any ideas? Thank you!

Huh?

2002 Eddie Bauer, 6 cylinder, auto, 4x4

Anyone know about this code? Two weeks ago the truck wouldn't start. I purchased a OBD2 teester, but it showed no code. Started next day, no signs of anything. Honestly I don't think I actualy ran the test properly.

Last night, same thing, truck won't start in Walmart pk lot. Wife brings OBD2 tester, I connected and ran the KOEO test, and hi there, a nice code for me:
P0232 FUEL PUMP SECONDARY CIRCUIT HIGH

*Anyone know where the fuel pump secondary circuits are located?*

I know the fuel pump is *in* the fuel tank. Does anyone know if this error code means it *IS* the fuel pump for sure? Is it some electronic controller (computer)? Is so, where the heck is that located? Could this code mean something else?

I have a friend that can help me replace the fuel pump - if that's it. The part is hard to find now, but I can wait a few days if needed. I just want to know before I have the truck towed to his house. I'd hate to take it there thinking it's a fuel pump only to find out it's something else.

Any help is appreciated.

My mounty has the factory tow package with the 4 pin flat connector and the usual hidden brake controller wire stuffed under behind the glove box
It had the 1.25 receiver hitch and upgraded to the 2" receiver

I also installed the adapter from 4 to seven pin to mate up with my trailer
