I have a motor from a 01 crown vic, and my friend has a grand marquis.

her power steering pump went bad and I told her i would give her the pump off my donor motor if it would fit. I took a look at her motor and they seem to be the exact same pump.


will the 01 crown vic power steering pump fit on her 08 grand marquis?

They show different part numbers. Can't say that it'd work. What's the pump doing? I haven't had to change one on any of our fleet.

Only change I can think of is that in 2003 These cars switched to Rack and Pinon steering with the frame and suspension changes...But I don't know for sure if there are any differences to the actual pump.

It could be possible that Ford just updated the part numbers over the years and it really is the exact same pump. Maybe try calling a Ford parts counter and see if the part number for the 01 has a updated P/N and it very well may match.
