05, 06, or 07 Grand Marquis wheels question... - Ford Forums

Hey Everybody,

Newb with a question. I am going to be detailing my grandfather's marquis this weekend. Does anyone know if the wheels have been clear coated or not? I'm not 100% sure on the model year, hopefully there isn't a difference btwn the years I mentioned.

I'm getting low on my all-in-one polish/wax I like to use on clearcoated wheels. I just need to know if I need to get some more by Saturday or not.

Thanks for the help. BTW, from what I've seen so far I like the forum. Seems to be a good group.

well since nobody knew the answer to my question or didn't feel like sharing if they did, I'll answer my own question. They are not clear coated. The rims are polished aluminum.

Thanks for letting us know. I personally don't shine my wheels so I wouldn't know the answer and someone else here might like to know.
