05 grand marquis, unintended acceleration

I bought a ls with 35,000 miles in good condition, but since Iv had it I have had acceleration 2 times in a month, when you slow down and are about to stop it will stay going for another 2 or 3 seconds before coming to stop. I have been doing a search, there is problems, but no answers. I would like to know if it is the electronic throttle control. thanks

Re: 05 grand marquis, unintended acceleration

We have several Crown Vics in our fleet and have not had any problems like that. They are mechanically the same as yours. Have you checked for codes? Autozone will for free. The light doesn't have to be on.
