First the VIN. 2melm75w2sx656288.
What size engine do We have in this vehicle?
( I tried Google for a VIN Decoder and all I got was CarFax ad's and some unusable stuff.)


It has an EGR Code showing.
How do I get a picture of the EGR Valve placement so I can replace it?

You have the SOHC 4.6L V8. EGR valve is somewhat easy to swap, but I don't have any pictures right off. I'll dig tonight and see if I can find some for you. Better yet- when you buy the valve, get a Haynes' or Chilton manual on the car and it'll show you what it looks like. Should only be two bolts, a wiring harness, and a vacuum line running to it and it should be located on the back side of the throttle body, which is in the center of the intake.

Also, under the hood, on top of the fan shroud, left of center, there should be a sticker with the engine size and info on it. My 94 that I just bought says 3.6 L. And I don't know that I'd share the VIN with the world. Just doesn't seem like a secure thing to do. Good luck.

The egr valve is located at the rear passenger side of the intake manifold. There are two bolts and a tube that goes down to the exhaust. To get to the tube it is easier from under the car. Also check to see that the tube did not break before you go out and by the egr valve.
