1999 crown vic will start but does not stay running
The only way my car will stay running is if I keep my foot on the accelerator.
I would appreciate it if anybody had any advice or tips on what the possible problem with my car could be. THanks

Try throttle position sensor,or look for any loose connections from the air filter to the throttlebody. There are several other things to check but these are the most common ones to look for

I would check your IAC valve because that is what would cause your car not to stay running when not on the throttle pedal. It should be on the side of the throttle body.

iac valve usually causes hi idle issues. but its located on the back of throttle body, very easy to change. mine was carboned up and cleaned with carb cleaner.good luck.
