There is no heater valve. Water always runs through the heater core. The blend door controls the heat felt inside the cabin.

It's located on top of the plenum under the dash. To replace it you have to pull the instrument panel out. What exactly is the sytem doing? Can you change it to defrost, floor, etc? Is it manual or EATC?

Re: 2000 Grand Marquis Heater Valve Location

The ac is properly charged and pump is running.
Blows 120 degrees out the vents in any position on the digital controler. Ac or fresh air.
All fuses and relays have been checked.
Vacuumed oak leaves out of the windshield wiper drains.
Need to open the ac heater box inside the car and see stuck flap or bad controler.
Anyone have any experience in this one?
Thanks Dave

Initially I checked all fuses inside the car and under the hood.
Checked all relays too.
The woman has the car I cannot recheck now.

Re: 2000 Grand Marquis Heater Valve Location

Did the job.
Autozone had manual blender motor.
Automatic heater blender motor $71 dealer only.
If flap was bad $200. dealer heater box.
Blender motor installed in about 2 1/2 hours complete.
Loosened whole dash pulled dash back about 8 inches to install.
Thanks for all the help.
