2000 p71

So I bought a 2000 crown victoria police interceptor the other day. Aside from basic issues, my blinkers aren't working. When I use the turn signal on either side they do not flash on the inside or out and the click is very fast like a bulb is out. Does the same thing with the hazards on as well. Anyone have any suggestions? Its very difficult to find anything on this issue.

yes, the bulbs are fine. they sometimes work for a second and then go back to nothing. I've checked all of the bulbs, and when it does work correctly they flash. but for the most part they just wont do anything. the clicking is still there when i use the signal but its fast

The multi function (turn signal) switch and the Lighting Control Module (under the dash, roughly above your right knee when seated) are failure prone after many miles in these cars. A multi-meter is very useful when troubleshooting this problem and there have been many posts on the procedure. Search "LCM", light control module, or "turn signal problems".
