I just read that the Calif. and Hawaii LS trim included some options N/C or as "standard" that you had to pay extra for in the other areas.

So here is a photo of the original sticker from my LS (purchased 2 months ago with 25K miles) which shows the package as sold in Calif.

That's a great looking car. My Crown Vic is white but it was black and white when i got it. I painted the b-pillars black and put the alloy wheels on. Not as nice as yours though.

Thanks Bert. I probably over-paid for it. I really had the hots for it and it is just like getting a new car for $5,500.
It had the original Michelins with most of the tread on them but I had them replaced due to their 9 year age.(Not good on the Mohave desert etc.).

Bert, I'll bet yours is faster though. Mine has the single exhaust even though the refs. I read said LS gets dual. It's sort of a slug really and I wouldn't mind a little boost. That may be a project later. Is your motor set-up stock?

Other than the heavy duty suspension, the police versions had the same engine. They had dual exhaust, ECU would make it shift later and the differentials were geared higher on most. An oil cooler and a few other changes that for our use don't make a big difference. Mine had 135,000 hard miles put on it and it now has 154,000 and runs like new.

I just bought an 01 in LS trim also. It has 85K on it. The interior has seen more wear than yours. I have all the same options with the exception of the digital dash. I have single exhaust also. Unfortunately it has sat a long time. I'm cleaning up the interior now and it is coming out good except the drivers seat. It dried out too much. So there are a few cracks and wear spots. Engine bay is dirty and needs to be cleaned out. The wheels have rust spots inside all those holes. So it'll be a pita to clean up. The clear coat is yellowed in some spots. The paint is in good shape with the exception of some bigger scratches that won't buff out. It's silver with grey interior. I don't have the original window sticker so I can't compare on prices.

It's still a very good car and for the price was a give away. I spent $2K on it. By the time I do setup with new tires and few other things I want to replace I'll be in $3K.

I'll post pictures once i get it cleaned up. It'll take me a few weeks to get through it. I just had my knee scoped so I have to take it easy for a bit.
