My work car (a 2002 Ford Police Interceptor) has a bad habit of growing very sluggish off the line. The PD mechanic changes the spark plugs, and it runs like a new car....for a few weeks, until the new plugs get fouled.

Has anyone else had a problem with a CV/PI fouling plugs? I will admit that I never shut off the car, once I start it at the beginning of a shift it stays on until the end (I lock it up when I'm away from it, I have a second key), so it idles a lot. Could this be a contributing factor?

i pulled mine out and found "oil" fouling on 4 plugs. later determined from research that there is a common malfunction of rocker arms coming loose... well, after i personally took the valve covers off i found 4 rocker arms off. not a very secure mounting philosophy. they just pop under without much effort... hope this might help.
