The Marauder is basically a Crown Victoria and are still reliable vehicles. Our dealership has sold about 4 of them and we only see them for regular service. We did have one with a wiring problem, but nothing major.

Thanks for the info. I feel that this car taken well cared for could last for many years. My parents are still driving their 1998 Mercury Marquis with no problems what so ever. The last one they had they put well over 200k on it with nary a problem other than general maintenance. When they traded in their 1992 Marquis it's only problem was it used a quart of oil every 2,000k!

Almost, except it has a 4V DOHC 4.6! Man, that makes me jealous.

Hi all,

I really like my 2003 300A Marauder. I've owned it for about 2.5 years and I love it as much as the day I bought it. You can find out just about anything you want about them at MercuryMarauder.net I traded in a 1993 Lincoln Town Car on mine and it had 230k miles on it. I hope to get more than that out of my Marauder. It has 90K on it now. Be advised, there is a problem with early 03 Marauders, Crown Vics and Marquis'. The rear axle bearings tend to go out. There is a Technical Service Bulliten for this and a kit to upgrade it to fix the problem. Get yourself a Marauder and you will find out what all the fuss is about. Mine is still stock and it is still the best ride I have ever owned. Many Marauder owners get 4.10 gears, a super charger and a tune and go to the drag strip! These cars are great!

Eli,

Sort of. Actually think Crown Vic LX Sport with a Mustang Cobra engine and P71 handling. Throw in 18 inch wheels, fog lights and loaded up with options. In '03 you could get black, dark blue, or silver. In '04 you could get black, silver, or burgandy. Rear spoilers and moon roofs were options on '04s.
