I am new to the forum and a new owner of a 2003 P71 (former WV state Trooper car). Car has 116000 Miles. I have only had it about 2 weeks.

Car has developed a slight hesitation (almost like a slight miss) on mild acceleration, does OK on hard acceleration but that is getting rough as well. Also it is getting terrible fuel mileage in town ( est around 10-12 MPG).

Any idea where to start? Coil Pack or an air flow sensor maybe?

Start with checking if there are any codes. Autozone will check for free. While you're there, get a can of MAF cleaner and clean the MAF. Have the spark plugs and fuel filter been changed?

I was planning on hitting the zone today to get codes checked, will get the MAF cleaner as well.

I was going to edit post to stay the hesitation originally started only around 45MPH, now is hesitating or rough in the 30's or anytime with mild acceleration on when just trying to maintain speed.

Have not changed any plugs or filters yet either.

OK check engine light came on today. Threw a P0300 & 02. AS well as P0316. I am going to start with cleaning MAF and checking plugs. Will update post.
