J-Mod.
TCCoA Tech Articles
Check out that link and look at Jerry's Mod. He was one of the engineers in designing the 4r70w. He tells you what to do to enhance the tranny and make it shift the way it should to optimize performance and durability. You can also go to crownvic.net, go to the body of knowledge link and there is a step by step thread on how to perform this mod. Blue Oval Chips @ blueovalchips.com sell the valve bodies with the modifications already done to them if you're not comfortable in digging into your tranny yourself. Additionally, they are well known in tuning Crown Vics/Town Cars/Grand Marquis. A lot of people buy XCal2 flashers from them with a pre programmed tune. Their guy Lonnie is well known in our family of vehicles and will tune your car to the specs you wish. The tune will do a lot to help the tranny with firmer, crisper shifts. J-mod and tune would be optimal.
