2004 Grand Marquis LS with rough ride - Ford Forums

I have recently bought this car and am really disappointed in its ride as far as taking small bumps it seems as if it has no give in the suspension,was wondering if this car has some capability to having a more softer front end ride as every bump seems like i should get out and check for damages

Actually I'm surprised you say your getting a harsh ride quality. I hated the floaty ride when I bought my car.

You should see how it is now after I've done a bumch of suspension mods. You'd probably think I was driving a truck. :)

Have you had your suspension checked? Maybe there is some abnormal wear in the shock or springs? Did you check your tire pressure?

Check the rear shocks for leaks. I have seen a few newer Crown Vics with bad shocks and low miles.

I bought my 2004 Grand Marquis GS in July 2006 @ 51K miles. Recently both rear shocks went out. I bought two Monroe shocks just didn't have time to install them. Now I have 61K miles but still... factory shocks giving up at 50-60K miles??? something is effed up.
