I don't like to draw people away from the board, but I think you'll find a lot more information on your question if you do some research over at ************** One recommendation, though--before you make any posts, use the search feature. There's a lot of information about what you're looking for that's already been posted, and some people get cranky about posting it over and over again.

I think you misunderstood what I meant...I was saying use the search before you post over at that other forum. The people over there get a little temperamental about that stuff, so I was just warning you about that. I can see how you got a different impression from what I said, though--I should have been more clear. Sorry about that.

Re: 2005 Grand Marquis Mods

dbcdave- kick back, have a beer, lighten up a bit, we're all here to help each other out.

A common first modification is switching to a dual exhaust system, I'd recommend 2.25"... it'll surely help wake up your '05, as well as swapping to a Marauder intake box, which will flow the air better without having riced out chrome piping under your hood.

Re: 2005 Grand Marquis Mods

Do you have to pass an exhaust sniffer where you live? If not, you can eliminate the catalytic converters, too. It won't make a huge difference in performance, but every little bit helps. It'll also enhance the sound (don't know how much you care about that). The one complex part is that the newer cars have oxygen sensors after the catalytic units, so you have to either get the computer retuned (which I believe is necessary for the Marauder airbox as well) or you have to get little eliminators for the oxygen sensors. Otherwise the computer will think the catalytics aren't working and it'll throw a code. Take all this with a grain of salt, though--most of my expertise extends to the pre-'92 (small block Ford) stuff.
