I've been trying to remove the rest of the emissions controls from my car and it seems the computer is not liking this at all and keeps going into what feels like a limp mode, but no engine light. Is there wires I have to short to make the computer think everything is okay? I mean if I flick the key into start while in drive, the car will go back to normal, and then back to OMFG somethings wrong, or just buy a new 2 barrel carburator and take the computer out as well.

It seems my engine gets 24 mpg on the highway lightly based on the fact a computer is controlling everything until it stops working. Ask me questions to clarify this because my brain has shut off over it.

Oh I hate those dang things! You have to replace the intake if you want to use a 2 BBL It had this funky looking intake the 2 BBL holley 350CFM did not want to bolt too. It was either a adapter plate or new intake, I just ran off and got a cheep elderbrock 4BBL intake, but if you want to save gas, then get a 2BBL :) I played with mine to see if I could trick the sensors, nope. Just get a MSD system, it works way better. The variable is very problem matic too, just a ford mistake. Also, 24mpg with a variable, I'd pay to see that

Yeah, about 24 miles a gallon being gentle, and that's on the highway. I think I'll just got 4 bbl since I have an edelbrock 600 cfm sitting in the box in my garage that was for a Chevy. The power is there. I've been able to torque the tires over on dry road, but that's not often. Oh well, off it comes. Thank you.
