Does anyone know how to override the speed limiter an rev limiter on a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis without spending alot of money if any at all?

I had the same idea, for my 97 GM, but Ford told me it was hard wired in the chip. I do believe that there is an "add on chip" that is avaliable. The chip you want is from a police car, don't know if it will work though. Might have to grab the motor too. The chip also controls the shift points.
