i have a 1991 grand marquis with 370,000 on the original 5.0 this 5.0 leaks from the main seal and the rings are gone. i can get a 1996 crown vic with a 4.6 for super cheap. will this 4.6 bolt in smoothly? will the computer controlled stuff be able to work or should the entire harness swap too? thanks in advance

Well . That 4.6 uses aode transmission among other differences . Gonna need wiring, brain, & not sure about motor mount points & trans mount stuff . Early 92 had aod that mounted to 4.6 & later style 92 tbey changed design of engine & trans . Sure others will answer also, but seems easier to find different 5.0L to put inor rebuild what you have with mods
