Local Ford guy mentioned today he had a low mileage 5.0 out of a 96 T-Bird and that it might be worth considering swapping out the 4.6 for it.
Has anyone here done that?
I don't think I'll go that route even though my 4.6 has some high highway miles on it but I was curious to see if it was a popular option.

Also- I think 1993 was the last year for the 5.0 in a TBird......?

I like the 4.6, They can run a lot of miles. There's a cab company in Pa. that had a 95 with over 630,000 miles and some 98s with over 400,000. He said the 95 was getting tired though.

I tend to agree....The ole 5.0 is cool and all but by the time you got done messing around, including the cost, a rebuild would be just as good if not better.
Besides- she still runs strong with less than 200,000 miles going.
I found a Marauder cam set and 32 valve heads locally for $550 I may buy and stock pile for the future.

Marauders are cool, but a 5.4 with Trick Flow heads and cams will out torque and HP a Marauder, is easier to install, and will pass an emissions test.
