I have this nagging problem with this vic car. It doesn't do it all the time. but when im stopped at a light. The car will lurch forward constantly and sometimes die. I'll start it again (starts right up) and i might not see this problem again for another week but rest assured it will happen again..Any takers

Run some gunk injector cleaner, also take the cap off the distributor and clean your rotor and studs with sand paper and put dielectric on them. What light comes on when it stalls? My amp light always came on, found out my crappy dura(not)last died cause they gave me the 60A instead of the 80A my car called for.

I'll try the gunk thing....the cap and rotor were replaced...i never noticed any lights when it died...if it happens again I'll take note...as far as the alternator, it is new...after the cap and rotor were replaced i did notice that it does not do it as much..but like a bad penny it will come back. its been hot here in chicago and when the air is on it never happens, I've replaced the idle control speed actuator with a bone yard model,they both cant be bad,besides its a cheap way of narrowing down the problem...after the gunk thing...I'll replace the plugs...let you know what happens..

If it is fuel injected it is the throttle position sensor that is bad.

perhaps.....but i'm going to try the gunk thing and change the plugs..i'll post again to let all know if it worked..note:if the gunk and plugs dont work,your idea is next.....thank..........
