confused 88 crown vic low power

I have an 88 Crown Vic 5.0 multi port that nearly falls on it's face under light acceleration. When I get on it hard, it accelerates fine. Takes quite a bit of pedal movement to make it shift down. If I back off a little it will pick up. I just replaced the fuel filter, air filter, plugs and plug wires. Fuel pressure regulator was replaced last year. It has 20" of vaccum at an idle checked at the manifold. What is the best way to check the injectors? Oh yeah, I ran a compression check also. Average 140 to 145 on all cylinders. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Doug

When was the last time you cleaned the throttle body?

I cleaned it last year when the throttle stuck on it and I also cleaned it last week but it wasn't very dirty.
