hey guys , alternator went the other day , put the new one in... and its working fine, but the battery light stayed on in the dash , any one know why this would be ?

Maybe the alternator has a problem. Here's the diagram for it. Fig. 11 | Repair Guides | Wiring Diagrams | Wiring Diagrams | AutoZone.com The regulator grounds the wire from the light when the key is on and when it starts, the wire gets 12v back to shut the light.

i checked the alternator , all the connections are good and its charging good , as far as i know there are only 2 connectors on the alternator. its working fine but the light is still on.. i may have to just deal with it !

Check that wiring diagram. The alternator grounds the wire to the light with no charge and when it charges, the ground is taken away, ie voltage added to turn the light off.
