I got a 91 Crown Vic Ltd V8 5.0 Liter. I replaced the front door speakers with some Audio Mobile 6 1/2 and I have a 300 watt amp that I want to hook up to the factory tape deck. This is where I need as much help as possible. Can I even hook up an amp to the factory unit and if so how? I also have a 300 watt bass tube, I would like to hook up also, But right now I would like to hook up the 4 inside speakers. Any help would be appreciate'd.

go to your local installer and tell them what you are doing and they will tell you what you need because i cant remember what the thing is called that allows you to hook an amp up to a factory radio. and as for the speakers go to wallmart or radio shack and get the adapters that allow you to plug the speakers right into the factory harness. but if i were you i would just go out and buy a cheap aftermarket radio because you will save money that way. because later down the line if you decide to put a aftermarket radio in the device is use less.

Ok, now I had a big problem with mine in originally wanting to keep the stock deck. I found out it was a return ground system (allthough it was an 84) I dont think yours is but just a thought. to find out take out your deck and count the speaker wires, there should be 8 if there are 5 you need a new deck.

IF THERE ARE 8, then you have to buy an amp with line level imputs (Pertty much every one has them) and hook the amp up according to the instructions in the box, I have never done it this way, but imagine it is pretty simple
