'92 Crown Vic Radio Doesn't Work!!! HELP!

My 1992 Crown Vic had been sitting for about 3 months and not driven. The battery was dead as a stone so I charged it overnight. It was still dead so a new battery was installed. The radio now doesn't work. The fuse in the fuse block is fine. The backlight lights up but there are no numbers. When the radio is turned off, the back light goes out. Everything else in the car works fine. I'm stumped. It is a stock radio/cassette unit. Is there another hidden fuse or some sort of security code?

Thanks for your help!!!!
