92 cv brakes????front suspension

Well, i bought a 92 crown vic at an auction. I fixed most of the problems...but one still has me stumped. For some reason, at slow speeds when stopping, the car kinda applies the brakes, then stops, like a bouncing back and fourth feeling. At high speeds the vic when i apply the brakes, it shudders alot worse. I checked the pads, nothing seemed majorly wrong, pulled everything apart, cleaned up the rotors, and put it all back together. The calipers seem like they are loose on the rotors, but i cant figure out why. The caliper bolts seem to be tightening just fine, and it still shakes back and fourth. Theres a little wobble from front to back looking at the caliper from the side. Just trying to get an idea on what it could be. It's got me stumped. It's just like a brake pulsing when i apply the brakes. So if anyone knows where i should start, maybe calipers/rotors/pads, or it may be, but i dont think it is suspension problems. so any help would be appreciated, even an idea where to start out right now...thanks

Sounds like you need to get the rotors turned..maybe check the balance on your tires also.

Re: 92 cv brakes????front suspension

no, it's not the rotors, the run-out on them is fine. And the tires are balanced, i did all of that myself. And i make sure it's done right. It seems like the caliper pins are not the right size, i know the caliper is supposed to slide on the pins a little, but it seems like theres just too much free play with them, not so bad at low speeds, just a pulsing, but at high speeds, it's not fun to stop. Should i just go ahead and get calipers, do p71 calipers work on the civilian cv's? or do i have to change the bracket too. guess its off to the salvage yard for parts. Wheres a decent priced place to get calipers/rotors. Might as well start there
