92 LX VIC won't start unless gas pedal is pushed.

Car would always take 2 trys to start. Then for almost a year it started normal one turn of the key . A couple of weeks ago it went back to the never ending first crank and the normal start for the second try. Now for the past two days I have had to hit the gas in order to get the car to start as if I had a carb. The car is my taxi and I need it to start correctly everytime it is embarassing when you have passengers in the car and it will not start! The car is on the road everyday and does 3000 miles every 1-2 weeks I change oil religiously. The first time it happened to me the car started then died almost like when you have a bad battery. Any way I need some suggestions please

Re: 92 LX VIC won't start unless gas pedal is pushed.

The iac valve was cleaned but not replaced. The tps sensor has not been touched. But the fuel pump did quit yesterday. I put anew one in but the car is still needing a tap of the gas pedal to start. I was thinking it could be the fuel pressure regulator.
