92 MGM coolant in oil - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I have a 92 mercury grand marquis ls, and over the last two days, its been runnung pretty rough, not holding an idle speed, and such. Just today after about five minutes from a cold startup the temp gauge almost got into the red. I checked the coolant which was low, and then the oil which happens to be half way up the dipstick and light brown which tells me that its pumping coolant into the oil. I imagine that it is the intake manifold, and im praying that its just a failed gasket. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is the oil a milky color because light brown does not help me out because most oil you buy today is light brown.

Yes the oil is a milky color, i am absolutely sure that there is plenty of coolant in the oil
