Can anyone tell me how to program new fob's or maybe tell me where to get the instructions for it ? Well besides taking it to Ford and paying big $$$ for them to do this. Ant help would be appreciated. Oh and yes I do have the factory code for the keyless.
The Ford dealer here doesn't charge to program, but I would guess they would make you get an appointment and wait all day for a simple programing. Most of the Fords... turn ign.switch from off to on, (not start) 8 times within 10 seconds. Locks should cycle, press any button on first remote, locks cycle, press any button on second remote, locks cycle,etc.etc.
If you haven't purchased your fob yet, cycle the switch as if you were to program the fob, if the locks cycle, your vehicle is equipped for it. If they don't cycle, it was not quipped for it. (or something is wrong with the system)
Hey its very simple to do don"t pay ford lol. Drop the glove box all the way down and out and to the right there is a two pronged grey pigtail tapped to the main harness(right corner ), turn the ignition on short the two pins with a pair of pliars or whatever the door locks will lock and unlock then let go and press any button on each remote (up to four remotes), the doors should lock and unlock with each one. When your done turn the ignition off the doors will cycle and your done. Hope this helps
Hey, I am having the same problem, but I can't find the connector behind the glove box. However, I do see a 7 pin connecter not attached to anything.
If anybody has ideas, I would love to hear them.
