confused 95 Crown Vic air suspension problems

Hi there!

My dad has a 95 Crown Vic and he's having problems with his air suspension system. The compressor is brand new from last year, so he doesn't think that might be broken. Is there a switch or solenoid that controls the air flow to the rear? Because only his rear end seems to have a problem, cause it's almost touching the ground right now. He told me when he puts the ignition off, he hears a "ting" noise like something closing a valve or something like that. I don't really know what to look for. He went to Ford and they told him they don't touch this anymore... what kind of dealership is this?

Did anybody here had a similar problem? I've seen there's a way to swap in some coil springs and shocks, but i'd rather find something for him that can be done quick so he can use his car in a few days. I guess doing that swap must cost a lot of money and must have custom work to be done.. Anyway, any help is welcome!

Thanks alot!
Zack

Re: 95 Crown Vic air suspension problems

assuming they work the same as aussie cars, climb underneath, and located near the diff high up will be control module for the height sensor, remove it, strip it down, and check for dry solder joints or just solder all the joints that look dodgy, then re-fit and it should be all working fine.
