My sister borrowed my parents 98 CV one night, and I guess a racoon jumped out and at 30-40MPH she slams on the brakes. All the lights in the back blew out. Tail, 3rd, brake, turn, etc all dont work now.
So, we checked fuses, bulbs, abs, everything, still cant find the problem.
Any Ideas?

if she slammed on the brakes and now the lights wont come on, its the brake light switch, located on the brake pedal rod (that connects to the brake booster)
a quick test, take the plug out from it (should be 2 wires, pops right out)
Take a paper clip or a small wire, and jump the 2 terminals on it. if the brake lights come on, its the switch. if not, then its something else, or try again (the terminals could somehow be corroded, altho highly unlikely)
switch brand new from the parts store is about $10
Hmm, could be the LCM (light control module). Had the same prob on a old ladies 99 CV. She slammed the brakes fast and the instant surge to the module fried the cuircuts. As for the brake pedal switch, if it was that then the turn signal would still work. In the 98 they used differnt wires for the lights. Matter of fact, all crown vics used seperate wires for all the lights.

Would the brake light switch take out the turn signals?
