'99 P71- anyone ever have their heater core replaced?

No leaks, very faint coolant smell when I turn the heater on. It may not be the heater core, but I'm praying for the best, preparing for the worse. Has anyone ever had their heater core replaced? How long did it take? Thank you.

It's supposed to take about 6-9 hours depending on who does it. If you want to attempt it yourself, here's how it's done.

If you do it, make sure it's pressure checked before installing it or get one from Ford.

I'm going to have it done by the professionals. That's WAY too much work for me!

7 hours, 20 minutes. They had to pull the instrument panel out, but didn't have to disconnect anything from the panel. He was able to rest it on something and work behind the panel.

That's the way I usually do it. There's no sense in disconnecting anything that doesn't have to be. Less chance in something having a poor connection afterward. Thanks for the update and glad it's all done.
