Hi rtg143: could you tell me the location of the check valve? I bet I'll have to hunt down the vacuum leak if that is indeed the problem, but any help with that would be greatly appreciated as well and thank you in advance.

Re: AC Low Side Service Port On A 2006 Ford Crown Victoria

The check valve on the older ones is on the vacuum manifold aginst the firewall near the transmission dipstick tube. When the engine is running, listen under the dash to see if you can gear any hissing sound. If the dash was removed before, sometimes the vacuum hoses get pinched or damaged.

I don't want to pay an eye surgeon to play golf 4 days a week, or go to Maui 6 times per year. But that doesn't mean I'm gonna grab a scalpel and carve up my kid's eye. If you want it done right, either spend the time to learn how to do it, or pay someone who has.
