acceleration noise
First off... hello everyone! Just joined today. I'm a bit of a car newbie, which I apologize for, but hopefully I can get some help from y'all.
I currently have a '97 Crown Victoria LX. Before that I had a 97 Grand Marquis that I totaled within 2 weeks (yeah I rock)... so I never really did get to learn much about these cars.
But heres my questions. First off I've noticed since the day I bought this car a "tssssss" sound when I accelerate. The sound somewhat resembles the sound of a snake. It seems the sound is coming from somewhere around the gas petal but I'm not positive exactly where it's coming from. Basically down below. Does this have anything to do with my AC? I'm sure no one will know this one because no one I talk to has any idea what is going on.
If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated seeing as this problem is rather distracting and annoying and I'm not sure if it's something serious.
