Anybody know what's involved in this other than just the switch and new dash piece? I don't know that there is anything different hardware wise, abs pump and what not...

Suggestions?

Apparently the control unit (the black piece that is attached to the ABS pump) needs to be changed and the computer may need to be flashed to recognize the presence of traction control hardware. The wiring appears to be there already. That much I know (I am trying the same thing on my 2003 CVPI). I did go to Ford dealers but their answer is we don't know, it is impossible and it will cost thousands. They are even hard to get the parts numbers. At this point I am not sure whether the pump needs to be replaced. One of the parts men said that the pump with TC has the different number than the pump without TC.

I too, would imagine the computer would need to be reflashed. Why do you want this anyhow? Maybe a Ford trak-lok would give you the desired traction you're looking for.
